Just graduated highschool and searching for meaning

High school wasn't that bad-- my grades were good, got 4s on all my AP exams, I challenged myself a bit, got into my state school, had a small circle of close friends. But I don't really know if I want to read and write and spend 4 years for a degree. It all feels so depressing now as I am typing this alone in my room while the sun is setting, wishing I never had to work another day in my life again. I can't seem to really search for any meaning.

There's a lot of truth to this. I just accepted a new position as an engineer. I do not have an engineering degree. I got the job because of what I learned in the field.
