Nepotism. You instantly have a group of great friends that would risk their lives for you with a wide variety of different fields they're in and can set you up on different paths. Your network will connect you with other networks spanning the entire nation.

Dont go to 4 year college unless you want to teach college or are going for a PHD in the long run. Dont get me wrong, my first two years of college right before the pandemic were the most fun I ever had in my life, but college doesnt actually help you get a career anymore like the boomers claim. I'm now stuck out of work with 40k debt three years after graduating (with Cum Laude, no less) because everything in the tech sector has been outsourced to jeets and Ukrainians, and it turns out that McGoyslop wont hire me for being overqualified. If you do want to go to college for an actual career, I recommend a 2 year program in a more technical field, or better yet, go to a career center and learn a trade.
