She talks like she just read *The Secret*

> The Secret is a 2006 self-help book by Rhonda Byrne, based on the earlier film of the same name. It is based on the belief of the pseudoscientific law of attraction, which claims that thought alone can influence objective circumstances within one's life. The book alleges energy as assurance of its effectiveness. The book has sold 30 million copies worldwide and has been translated into 50 languages. Scientific claims made in the book have been rejected by a range of critics, who argue that the book has no scientific foundation.

Sounds like a rip off of "the strangest secret" by Earl Nightingale.

But I honestly agree with the premise. How you think affects how you act and how you act is how your circumstances change. Your starting circumstances are fixed, so there's no point dwelling on them at all.

I'll look into that one. This book's premise was that the universe doesn't understand the idea of "no".

So if you push like you're pooping while you think "i want money" then you get money. But if you push like you're pooping while you think "i don't want a flat tire" the universe gives you a flat tire. It only understands attention and attraction, not repulsion.

Very voodoo magic of a concept, rooted in a sort of loose phychological truth.
