They're basically luxury sports cars. And you can't realistically drive them anywhere with a real winter year-round, and not just because of the batteries. These things are 2-5x heavier than regular cars; imagine driving on an icy road in a sedan, with sedan sized tires, that weights as much as an unloaded, 10-tire semi?

Right, which is why they chew through tires faster too. That's also contributing to more micro plastics in the environment. Also, EV tires need more reinforcement, meaning they're more expensive. When you really start thinking about EVs, NONE of it makes any sense!
