Why would he hate natsocs, if he would fit right in with the dirlewanger brigade?
Also, as far as I know, the joker never claimed to be patriotic before telling off the natsoc. And he never claimed to be patriotic since. Infact, he is an edgelord, so he probably hates weimarica.
So, basically, the writers made the jokers character inconsistent in order to own le ebil natsocs.
Oh well, I don't watch capshite anyway, it insults my intelect. I prefer books.

I find evil to be fascinating, and according to history, dirwanger was evil. Even the natsocs, who I consider softies and goody-two-shoes, where disgusted by dirlewanger.
If dirlewanger was not as evil as history says, then that makes them boring to me now.

All of the accusations against Dirlewanger are salacious stories of totally random rapes, murders, tortures of innocent people like nuns and babies. German soldiers doing these things would usually be swiftly tried and executed, for no apparent reason this prisoner unit was an exception?

Well, allegedly their brigade was established because it was thought that they, being convicts, would not allow emotions to get in the way of annihilating their enemies, which would have included polish resistance members, a decent chunk of whom were citizens with no prior warrior experience, who could blend in with the actual citizen populace.
The dirlewanger brigadiers were called "The black hunters" for a reason, I suspect.
