Laws are social constructs. Civic responsibility is a social construct. Duty, honour, integrity, etc, etc are social constructs.

Sadly Vatican II seems to have resulted in complete failure of *most* Catholicism being taught since the 1960s. Most "Catholics" are Modernist not by choice but because the clergy have been cowed by the jews since V2 and many seem more afraid of being tarred as "racist" or "antisemitic" than they are of standing before Christ and being asked why they failed to look after His flock. Luckily, the internet exists, and more and more zoomers and millenials have been re-discovering Catholicism and forming a burgeoning Traditionalist movement.

A social construct doesn't negate the object in question, it just means we have a social understanding of it.

For example. Is a woman a social construct? Of course, we have defined it and understand it in the communal space of society. However the woman exists, objectively, regardless of the social construct we use to discuss her.
