Brothers and sisters, please heed my pitiful admonition. I had once lived in virtue, having given a section of my life on this Earth to my community, my friends and family and my people. I have suffered on account of this; and to strengthen my resolve against the temptations of the world I have afflicted myself for the sake of virtue and charity.

I had purposefully preached of the rewards pertaining to virtue and moralism, done for the sake of Christ which resides in us who call upon Him. Though, this is not enough. The genuine intent of Baptism provokes the passage of the Holy Spirit of God to precede upon us, just as the Spirit from Heaven fell upon our Lord Jesus at his Baptism as a Dove. This is your second birth, as says Jesus to Nicodemus. By this, the original sin of man has been dispersed and you are open to redemption by the Grace of our God.

Do you think you are safe forever, dear brother? Soon after you fall back into temptation. The book has been opened unto you and the passages made clear. *If your right hand offend against thee, cut it off.* If we are saved by Grace alone, who is Christ our Lord speaking to? If there is no offense in us then why should he speak this? For 2000 years men have recklessly reinterpreted this to avoid the meaning. Brother, do not cope. Do not hide. Cast away your sin. The meaning is clear. All things are possible with God.

For when you sin against yourself, you weaken yourself. By weakening yourself, you weaken those who rely on you. By weakening those who rely on you, you open these to attack from further temptation. When this cycle continues all society becomes degraded. The moral foundation becomes covered in cracks and the agents of the Devil will drive wedges within them to collapse the entire structure. When you sin against yourself, you have sinned against God because you have weakened yourself and thereby your neighbor too.

I have once lived in faith and have now stumbled by the wayside. My pleasant dreams have become nightmares. The benevolent God who once comforted me in virtue now sends me visions of his impending wrath. The physical strength I was once blessed with has become my weakness. My love has become sour and my heart bitter as seawater with frustration. My Lord, who is my high tower, my cover and shield, now encompasses me with a host. My virtue has become sin because I have turned again to the flesh.

Faith must be proven by through trials of life. Turn yourself to God our Lord. The Devil will tempt you with the promise of vain worldly desires and you must reject these or they will eat you up. The Devil will find the weak point in your armor and you must maneuver to avoid the thrusts from his wicked spear. You must raise up the shield against him and counter attack. The fight will not be over until your soul is firmly in God's hands.
