Many public schools have completely gotten rid of books. Everything is on their laptop.

I can't imagine trying to read an entire novel on my laptop. The school system is doing this on purpose.

Correct. This isn't a race thing, it's a behavioral problem created by how people acquire knowledge and interact.

Everything is on a damn screen and presented in short form. Nobody is encouraged to read or write more than a few words.

Not just that but the tactile sensation, the smells, and the aesthetics itself of an actual book. There is so much more than just the words. It is an experience.
