I thought it was all about upbringing and socio-economic status. How could black kids raised in the same house by the same parent behave so differently? Unless there is another factor nobody wants to talk about...
Oftentimes teachers call their students "their kids". Those teacher typically care for them. This is likely a class on some sort of outing or field trip I'd guess.
It's amazing that our teachers have to put up with blacks. My son went to a private school prior to us homeschooling him. I don't think there were any blacks in the school, thankfully. This video reminds me of my time in public school. I wonder if they'd be happier in Africa? Sure, they wouldn't have our tech or modern conveniences, but they wouldn't have to try to understand how we live.
I explained it to my son similar to how we would be on an alien planet. The native "little green children" would understand their tech with little effort, but we would likely struggle. Some of us would get it, with great effort, others would never grasp the concepts and would fail.
