Graphic design hit a low in the early 2010's when they started using nothing but helvetica-esq fonts and "simplified" well known logos in an effort to be minimalistic like Apple (or something, I'm not a graphic designer).

it’s gotten lower with the whole flat UI. Now you can’t determine what are buttons, it’s all flat with pictographs that don’t make quick sense at first.
