You begin to realize how absurdly unlikely intelligent life is. Then you realise how unlikely life itself is. Then you realise how unlikely solid planets staying at a consistent temperature for liquid water are. Then you realize how unlikely stable orbits are. Then you realise how unlikely stars are. Then you realise that there's no particular reason that the physics of the universe should do anything but instantly implode on themselves.
But all of this happened when it had no reason to, no natural inclination. And then you realise that God isn't just a convenient explanation for natural phenomenon, He's the *only* explanation.
Don't forget that there was a jewish inversion inside of science in the very late 1800s. Science has been Christian for as long as we could remember, being mentally framed as 'the investigation of his mechanisms'. Without getting too involved, there was a split from early Alchemy, which was exported (from somewhere - lost to time) all over the world pre-Christ. Jews clung to one form of early alchemy, which formed the basis of their Jewish Mysticism (now called the Kabbalah), but Christians began to study life (assigning latin names that conflicted with alchemical names) and, through lenses, both the stars and microscopic life and minerals. *
They aren't competing systems, though jews have attempted to frame Science as such.

Super short version: keeping time using the heavens is a recent thing, previously time was kept through lineages (e.g. King A's reign was for 15 summers, then another king etc). The problem is that they don't agree, where according to the stars this is year 1400 to year 1600, while according to lineages this year is 2025. The 'lost' centuries have come to be known as the 'Dark Ages', where everyone supposedly forgot how to read and write and we have no records, and then everyone re-learned after the dark ages ended.
This problem has been known for centuries, and even Newton (also a Christian) tried his hand at a solution, through [*Chronologies of Ancient Kings, Amended.*](https://www.gutenberg.org/files/15784/15784-h/15784-h.htm) Basically, jews would help a would-be king usurp a sitting king, then they would sell the king a fake lineage that shows the imposter actually had been king for generations. They literally only got caught because they kept selling the same fake lineages to multiple kings lol
