According to what they claim that thing would save me "UP TO" $200 per year. It cost $6,000. Would only take 30 years to pay for itself. Sweet, I love free energy!
Yeah I like the idea of using a small wind turbine to power the lights in a cabin or something off grid. I was actually looking into how to build one with scrap parts last year but I didnt get very far.
*the algorithm* feeds me random alternative energy sources because I've looked into off grid recently. To my surprise this morning it's the Black Sun! Hahaha I thought everyone here would get it.
I like the idea of using geo thermal along with solar and any other source. A problem with it that I've found is although the ground temp is warmer and consistent ...if there's water in the ground it's temperature will affect the whole system. Ive been dealing with this problem in Washington state. Cold ground water really fucks it up and actually makes it less efficient than not even involving the geothermal. So I would advise anyone looking into that to know if there's an aquifer or spring near the system.
This could be a viable option if they don't price it for hipsters looking for the next best thing.
