Yeah, because that's literally what he did. GLR wasn't an idiot, and the goal of an idiot would be to expect some kind of sweeping political victory by adopting, verbatim, the name and symbolism of a group of people that your entire nation was fighting a few years ago.

GLR was a man who planted a seed that only has started bearing fruit very recently.
