the friend's marriage ended because the husband fucking died. there's a huge fucking difference between a widow and a baby mama. there is still non-negligible risk in dating/marrying a widow because she may be literally alpha widowed, and it's still more risk than i'd be interested in. but a non-widow single mother has already shown a track record of catastrophically terrible decision making that harms both her future and that of everyone around her, especially her children. why would any man sign up for that?
add on coal burning, and she's proven she's even fucking dumber. the abandonment rate for white women with black men is 99%+. that's even higher than black men with black women (~70%). she made a major life decision where a fraction of 1% approach some semblance of normalcy and the other 99%+ completely destroy their lives. she is definitively a fucking train wreck.
and while she has shown a tiny amount of awareness, i don't think she gets it.

society needs to put up more legal and social barriers to sex, having babies, and especially divorce, so people don't look at these heavy life decisions so nonchalant.
single mothers are fucking cancer. and i say that because society bends over backwards to put 1000% of the blame on men and will grind his ass into the ground for it... and the woman who has yet another baby from a deadbeat will be taken care of by the taxpayer.
