The mother of the shooter in both cases had an arsenal of weapons in the house.
In the sandy hook case, Nancy Lanza comes across as stupid(no offense to the dead) for keeping weapons despite her Son's mentally ill behavior, such as anorexia and literally living in his black room 24/7 online for months, only talking to her with email, and having mass shooter newspaper clippings on the walls or something. Also a spread sheet where he ranked hundreds of mass killers from highest kill count to lowest.
In this case, shooters mom was a cop, and thus had weapons, kind of like Jeff Jeff Weise's grandfather. Not sure if this shooter gave as many warning signs as the sandy hook guy though.
