I like when you write about your farming experiences. "The Hardest Part of Being a Farmer..." and "Revel in the Glory of What You Have Accomplished." are bangers.
"Fall Kidding Underway..." is another great example of what I love.
As well, your more big picture philosophical posts like "The hyper-capitalism of the left", "The Boomer's Worst Nightmare", "The Cancers of Modern-isms" and "What's Wrong With the World" I also enjoy.
Basically your deep ponderings as you watch your goats graze. I miss your newsletters.
I know you are currently writing fiction but it would be great if you wrote a non-fiction book about your musings, similar to what Aaron Clarey does (groups a whole bunch of blog posts together into a book).
Thanks man. I needed this sort of inspiration. Not really sure where my writing is going but you are correct I need to focus on what I originally intended to write....
Thanks ValuesLiberty, glad I can return the favour, as your posts have always been helpful to me. I wonder if you can wrap up a lot of your non-fiction posts with a title such as "Musings from a Goat-Herder", or "Field Notes from the Edge of Empire:
One man’s reflections on farming, freedom, and the future" (I thought of something like this because I did some research on the Fall of Rome awhile back trying to find out how people thrived in a failing empire and I found out that those who survived best lived on the outer edges of the empire and were self-sufficient)
It's April and I've already grazed my grass bottoms, twice. Then as summer comes into full swing we move uphill to the ridges which grow slower.
Then rotate back down...
I'm moving the goats every day or two.
What specific newsletters did you appreciate?

You have no idea how helpful your post was...
