Can also play the game of trying to find a place where you can pan up and try to see the blue sky (hint: Pollution is so terrible there that the sky just looks brown everywhere)

China's actually cleaned up a lot in recent years. The Chinese more or less followed the regular path of an industrializing nation, where they had a period of horrendous air quality and filth before getting their shit together and fully modernizing. Indians are just shit at everything they do and it will never be better over there.

India is still harder. I aspire to have the confidence of an Indian ultranationalist, but I realize it's almost impossible. I *almost* admire it, in a way. Almost. If it didn't entail denying everything wrong and refusing to, or being incapable of, improving the status and quality of life of their own race and realizing their wrongs.
