and the sad thing is, in Italy this is pretty standard, if you're not a local and a tourist and you can't speak italian to save your life **most cafes will treat you like dirt**
its just part & parcel of dago culture, don't really take it to mind because the food still comes out delicious
It works though, if you make foreigners understand that they are guests that are barely tolerated and could be tossed out at any moment, theyll less likely to parasitize your country. Hospitality has to be earned, it shouldnt be given, the west has become too hospitable to people who hate us.
and yet even on this board i remember someone complaining how in Greece the waiters are lazy and uncaring but in Cyprus the waiters basically circled around them because they are expecting a tip
i think there needs to be a balance between the staff completely disregarding you as a person and staff worshipping you like a pajeet worships a cow
