Pulled pork is still usually the cheapest thing you can get, but "cheapest" nowadays is over $14.

And if you can catch a peek into the kitchen, you can see they don't even make their own sauce, but use those gallon jugs of Kraft bbq sauce from wholesale restaurant suppliers.

The good bbq joints are the ones that have been around 30+ years, my favorite place is $10 for a plate that is enough food for me and my wife to split.

The good ones have stacks of wood in the back to use to smoke, and the head chef is a big fat guy. And also, always in the south.

Ive had great BBQ at a local gas station in KY which had a smoker setup that was 3 55 gallon oil drums welded together
