The general view that IF the world were a giant sphere it wouldn’t appear flat to a relatively very small entity living upon it is doubted by no one I’ve ever encountered. This is a contrived strawman.
The actual view this is a strawman of, is that the world is not a sphere and there aren’t “zoomed out” photos (showing the entire “basketball”) showing it as such that are legitimate.
