Some Palestinian Christians who come to my Church every couple years to sell wood carvings (one of the few professions the jews allow them to have in the land of their nativity) and raise awareness of the maltreatment of Christians announced that they had simply given up living there because the persecution was too harsh. One of them said Christians used to be 30% of the Holy Land but are now less than 1%, and im pretty sure the implication was since the institution of the illegitimate state of isntrael.
