If I'm going to be a Nazi, you can be damned sure I'll be a grammar Nazi as well.

Jews, Blacks, Whites etc are all capitalized because they are defined groups, not adjectives. It's the difference between someone being liberal and being a Liberal (Canadian political party).

I won't compromise my pedantry for a few echo chamber points.

Ah, but historic convention dictates that white, black, yellow, brown, and red were all spelled lower-case even when describing races. “The brownskins of Arabia” or “the redskins of the Americas” or “the midnight blacks of the Congo”… Thus, since jews are their own genetic subspecies–and specifically because they are *not* “just a religion” or “just a culture”–it ought to be lowercase when describing them.

There’s an argument for capitalizing “Judaism” because that’s the name of the ideology, just as “Muslim” is the name of the ideology.
