That’s *all* the statement has *ever* meant. It doesn’t mean anything about “having institutional power” or “controlling the narrative.” It means “you don’t have to subserviate yourself to others.” It means “YOU DON’T HAVE TO FUCKING OBEY.”
And then Anthony Scott (whom’st’ve’ed this person be?) comes along and says, “No, goyim, you *should* go be indoctrinated! You *should* compromise on objective reality and everything you claim to uphold in your heart by bowing to what your ✡professors✡ demand in order to get that piece of paper! You *should* put yourself on record as having written papers or given dissertations in favor of communism, etc.! It doesn’t matter that you ‘just did it to graduate,’ because *that’s not how internal psychology works!* And it’s not how social understanding works! Anyone you subsequently try to convince of your traditionalist views will be able to go back and see you went to ✡Yale✡ and gave a dissertation on Asian Intersectionality in Queer Slavery Studies and got an A in your diversity training class! It doesn’t matter that the class was mandatory to graduate; the fact that you participated at all proves you’re a traitor to yourself, your race, and your claimed beliefs! Nothing is stopping trades workers from influencing politics and cultural discourse. I'm no fan of trade unions, for example, but they clearly hold a lot of systemic power based on the useful class. I would even go so far to argue that the only reason for governments rolling back mandates was critical trade workers, like truckers, clearly stating that they could not work under those rules and governments understanding that without these workers their entire countries would collapse.
And yeah, what would have been different if a bunch of MAGAtards had been running the healthcare systems and media? They'd have done the exact same thing for different reasons. The problem was never Left v Right, it's that our institutions are systemically accepting cowards and rejecting integrity.
The idea that buying into that same system with our money and energy, rather than doing and learning something both useful and rewarding, is retarded. If you have integrity, if your have courage, if you have any principles at all, you will not be allowed to succeed in their system.
People will argue with you but at the end of the day, have some backbone and live life according to your own rules. It's that simple.
