I can't say for certain if hitler actually *liked* the Muslims (though he did love east Asian society quite a bit, if thats anything to go off of).

Mussolini was a "worse" offender. He fully embraced them and also enjoyed their support as well. He funded the development of Islamic schools and mosques in Italian occupied Libya and styled himself as the defender of Islam. Although mussolini wasn't as pious as hitler either, he came from an atheist family, was a communist in recovery, and was ambiguous towards catholicism at best sometimes.

Have to give the muslims some credit where it's due though. They absolutely did by and large hold up their end of the bargain with resisting British, French, and Israeli control, and scores of them served the germans and Italians valiantly in the north Africa campaigns, and did their own fighting in the middle east. Did you know that the Iraqi people overthrew their British aligned puppet monarchy and installed a fascist government? Pretty based of them to do so

Mussolini could be blamed for Hitler losing the war, hear me out.

Mussolini in the early 30s was someone Hitler looked up to, by the late 30s, he was a pathetic windbag who felt he needed to impress Hitler.

So he invaded Albania, barely got it, then tried for Greece, which did not go well.

At this time Hitler was preparing for Russia, and had to bail Il Culito out.

The Germans proudly orchestrated another Dunkirk by chasing the Brits onto boats in greece, an amazing Paratrooper(Fallschirmjäger) invasion of Crete.

All unnecessary expenditures of German arms, that cost the German eastern front armies time, men, money, experienced officers and NCOs and materials.

Mussolini wasn't really to blame. The house of savoy was. Mussolini should have channeled his inner commie snd bolshevik'd every fucking member of that freemason dynasty and purged the entire general staff personally. But he was just a prime minister, really, and the king of Italy actually had powers and rights over his head.

The general staff was full of incompetent royalist retards who hated his guts and intentionally failed on a continuous basis. The one loyal (yes, *one*) fascist general, Rodolfo Graziani, was extremely effective on the battlefield and made the enemies of Italy cower.

The imbecile king of Italy, Victor Emmanuel III, was an enemy of mussolini from the get go and intentionally mothballed most major military development. Italy had the potential to be a powerhouse easily on par with or even surpassing Germany by the start of ww2. And mussolini wanted it to be and could have done it. But he put too much trust in these dickheads to do any good.

The fact that they all betrayed Italy, supported the allied invasions, and *none* of them supported the social Republic, except Graziani, should be telling. The fact that all of the royalist admirals held over from ww1 essentially left the (extremely powerful, and much more capable than the kriegsmarine) Regia Marina sitting like ducks in a pond for the RAF and RN to just fucking sink, without actually doing anything, is also suspicious and very much up for questioning.

Mussolini left the dickhead king with too much power and Victor Emmanuel fucked over Italy and the axis powers in general for the entire duration of the war. Fuck. Him.

Now that you say it, Mussolini was brought down by a Fascist Council and the King himself. Hitler never had that.

There is a great rescue story that should have a fucking movie made about it. Operation Oak, Where Otto Skorzeny (who went to work for Israel after the war) liberated Mussolini from his prison with 16 men. There was a Napoleon moment back from exile, where the guards refused to fire on the rescuers at Mussolini's behest.

Mussolini shared his sentiment to be no blood shed over him and the defense let the Germans whisk him away. He was feeling quite a bit sorry for himself, and I think both sides pitied him.

The Italian social Republic was the only time mussolini got to implement his vision of fascism. Although it obviously never amounted to much because the country lasted for 2 years and was at war the entire time.

Italy really should have ideally been the Italian Social Republic from 1922-. Though I reckon that murdering the house of savoy (though they would deserve it for being traitorous freemasons) would have been bad optics, as they were popular in the Italian public and celebrities in the press at the time.

(Allegedly) mussolini had a plan to launch a coup on the king of Italy. Although this fell through because ww2 happened.

Italy also had issues with its incompetent fucking retards for generals from ww1 staying in offices and commanding Italian armies again in ww2, because of good old favoritism and the fact that they were royalists.

In Il Duces defense , he told Hitler to wait until 1943. He had severe industrial problems, and his navy was bankrupting him. I love WW2 through the eyes of logistics and economics, it really makes sense of things.
