From what I have read while he initially supported the creation of isarel Stalin started getting sick of it and of israel-first jews and began planning a massive purge of most jews.
He had a whole big propaganda campaign running and all, he called them "Rootless Cosmopolitans" but suddenly died before he could complete his plan.
