You can only forgive those who repent, and you cannot be a friend with a man who wants to be your enemies. You can love your enemy, but you still must fight him if he attempts to harm you or those in your care (because thats actually the loving thing to do) Never in the Bible does God say He forgives the unrepentant, or that we can either. The conception of forgiveness without repentance is a product of the further judiazation of Protestantism and has no biblical or traditional basis.
