Growing up there was this transient around who insisted that mankind has magical capabilities but they are being suppressed by unnatural levels of EMR via radio and TV towers.
I laughed at him, as did everyone else.. but it did make me wonder.
Regardless of time or location there are stories of wizards and magicians. Has man been duped by a special class of imposter since the dawn of writing, or does magic actually exist? The mysteries of our world seem to have all vanished by the middle of the last century. Magicians were ousted as being mere illusionists, the rumors of nocturnal Injun tribes roaming the west were finally put to sleep, monsters ceased to exist, etc etc etc.
Was man just stupid and superstitious or did something actually change?
you dont even need to be that smart, its just about knowing stuff other people dont, a lot of witches/wizards where just autistic loners that figured shit out like how to cure illnesses and basics of natural philosopthy
monsters where just a rationlization of people doing unspeakable things and the tales where a way to warn the kids without being like yeah pretty much anyone around you could cut you in to little peices for fun, its not like today when we have cctv and shit, back in the middleages serial kills and rapists could just get away with pretty much anything as long as there was no witnesses
At least half of today's US population, and 90% of the rest of the world, are easily tricked gullible babbling retards. The entire third world still believes in wizards, witches, and monsters.
