Magic does exist. It the manipulation of the world around us, above us and below us. We didn't create it so we don't know the full extent.

Pharaoh's magicians were real. God gave power and authority to many of his heavenly family. Many of them sinned and used their power and authority in illicit ways. People could channel the use of their abilities but God told us not to do that and the penalty for it was death.

Remember that washing hands before delivering a baby was "invented" in 19th century. Before that the very few witches and wizards who bathed his hands in the glory of holy waters of Tyr or Jesus delivered new souls to the world through holiness and supreme magic.
