Could be interesting since Japan doesnt have the same free speech laws as the US which could result in fines or even a ban on the sale until the content is removed.
For the former it would screw any possible chance of seeing profit if they lose a few million right off the bat to a fine. And if they have to spend months removing the content just for the Japanese release it'll lose more sales as people will see the game from other people before it is even available for them to purchase and they wont get those sales. Or if they dont want seperate versions, pushing back the release date a 3rd time, iirc, would not bode well for the few people who are still wanting to play it for whatever god forsaken reason
