In their defense, black kids develop cognitively at around the same rate as white kids do up until around 13 years old. So there shouldn't be any huge consequences to them sharing schooling beforehand, aside from the smell.

All the evidence ive heard is ancedotal, but there were some bussing experiments with forced integration that just resulted in mutual hostility, which of course is generally glossed over when de-segregation is talked about.

She probably *chose* to sit by herself. Observe blacks anywhere in any multi-ethnic setting and they always self-segregate unless forced to do otherwise. I wonder how much actual support among blacks there was for de-segregation?

Take an egg carton and split the eggs so half are white and half are brown. Then rearrange according to this criteria:
- the egg is not surrounded by 5/8 or more of another color
That's it. Go through every egg and count the 8 surrounding eggs and rhen swap until they all meet this criteria. The result always shows extreme natural segregation.
No one wants to be in the minority.
