Butyric acid is actually pretty good for you. Or more specifically, the salt form of it, known as butyrate - often as "sodium butyrate". Butyrate is a prebiotic that can feed the good bacteria in your gut and support your gut microbiome. It'll help keep pathogens such as candida, SIBO, H. Pylori and etc. at bay.
It is also antifungal, mildly antimicrobial (particularly against bad/pathogenic bacteria), has anti-inflammatory properties, and enhances intestinal barrier function and mucosal immunity.
There's a decent amount of butyrate in butter and more in ghee, for example.

Butyric acid and its butyrate form *does* smell like vomit though, but it's supposed to, for obvious reasons. I'm sure you also know it's found naturally in the body (vomit and bile, for example).
Anyway, Hershey's chocolate is shit and goyslop. If you *have* to have chocolate, there's far better and healthier options out there, I am sure.
