Modern issues not withstanding, the Catholic church still gives off bad vibes.
We are not supposed to call anyone Father but God (in a spiritual sense, as regards faith and religion), church steeples look like phallic Canaanite obelisks and so on and so forth. Somehow the Orthodox rite just clicks with me. Or maybe it only clicks with me in our modern context where most other rites and churches have abandoned God and His Son Jesus Christ.

>We are not supposed to call anyone Father but God
That was Jesus using hyperbole, otherwise Christians wouldnt acknowledge their own biological parents, which has never occured outside of fringe heretical sects. A lot of Protestant confusion revolves around misinterpreting when Jesus is using Hyperbole, and then assume He is using hyperbole when He isnt (like with the Eucharist, which He doesnt just talk about as one off like He does with "turn the other cheek" and " call no one your father")
The Orthodoxy also refers to their priests as Fathers. What the verse that includes "call no man on earth your father" really means is to call no man on earth your father *aside* from the people God has already instituted for you. Your biological father, your spiritual father (priests), etc. It's a call to recognize the legitimate authorities God has set forward for you and a warning to not put your trust or faith in illegitimate authorities that He has not (i.e. false idols or prophets). To take that line 100% literally would be to also not call your own dad your 'father', which is ridiculous.

Pretty much. There's videos out there that explain it much better than I did, if you'd like to know more. This tracks well with other verses we see where God calls us to obey authorities as they are instituted by him. The first part of Romans 13 comes to mind:
>Let everyone obey the authorities that are over him, for there is no authority except from God, and all authority that exists is established by God. As a consequence, the man who opposes authority rebels against the ordinance of God; those who resist thus shall draw condemnation down upon themselves. Rulers cause no fear when a man does what is right but only when his conduct is evil. Do you wish to be free from the fear of authority? Do what is right and you will gain its approval, for the ruler is God's servant to work for your good.
Now obviously when all the rulers over us are demonic jews or their puppets, they are no longer God's servants put there for our good and thus our call to obey them is no longer valid. A critical theological problem that most protestant denominations have today is that they routinely flip-flop the times that God is speaking literally, and symbolically. In this case, God was not telling people to address no human person on the face of the earth by the title of 'father', he was telling us to not supplant the Fathers that He has already put there for us, and Paul affirms that in Romans.
Thats a lot to unpack; Does this leave room for calling out and acting against obviously-Godless rulers? Or is this a case of "a lesser sin, run to God after committing it"?

From all schismatics the Orthodox are the ones who stink less. But stink nevertheless. I'd say the post Vatican II Church is schismatic too, specially rhe Bergolians. You should give a rry to Traditional Catholicism like our ancestors once did. Look for a [TLM](https://scored.co/p/19A1CGidXv/x/c/) near you to get started.
Modernism is not Catholicism, it is a horrible heresy of Judaization and Compromise. The goyest generation tore down all the resistance to that grievous error at Vatican II, and I hope when order is restored, that wicked generation will be remembered in infamy as the Giants were.
Make Catholicism great again.

Just join the real Church that has never fallen, the Orthodox church, Christs bride. It's obvious if you read history.
