I like this version better.
 
The only problem with Big Boss is that he was later turned into a fucking communist sympathizer by Hideo Kojima as of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

He was first hired by LBJ, so it's fitting that he'd be evil. His mixed heritage is probably intended as a compliment by the Japanese.

Yeah, if you look at his biography, he essentially worked for ZOG.
