It's going to a woman so if it's emotionally charged I think it could work better. Tried what I thought were the basic ones but it all falls back to "daddy is and wants him to look like him" and "I knew a guy who wasn't and he was embarrassed in high school. Very dumb reasons, I know.

He's the one so absolutely adamant about it being done. Doesn't seem to want to budge on the issue. She'd be more open to not doing it then hopefully convince him

I hate the thought of a baby boy being mutilated for any reason, but in this case I would gently advise to let the husband, as foolhearted as he is, to lead his family. Keep praying on it and go to him directly. Perhaps the Lord will soften his heart and give him ears to hear wisdom. But having the wife in the middle will only cause tension between her and her headship. I know this is hard, you have really good intentions and it's frustrating with dispensationalist family members.
