I mean, when I was a kid my parents would always talk about "they" as in "they are ruining this country." My mom would ask my dad, "Who are these "they" people?" And he'd say, "You know full well who they are."
See, he actually read the Talmud. The story is he met a muslim man at work, so he got the Koran and read it, and thought it was a little weird but not complete garbage. Some of it is pretty good stuff but others are obviously off the rails.
He had a jewish co-worker so he got a copy of the talmud and read that. His jewish co-worker was not religious and warned my dad that he shouldn't read it, but he read it anyway.

When I asked about the talmud he said I wasn't allowed to read it until I grew up, and he took it off the shelf just in case one of us got ideas.
