Is this Anthony of Thebes?
I come from an Italian American family and we got more Anthonys than cancer deaths.
You have to be specific when using the name Anthony. Not like there was not a few people named that. Considering my family, we got Ant, Tony, Big Anthony and little Anthony, scarred Tony, (this place would love him, he has a burn face and blames niggers. No deadpool jokes! ) Baby Tony.
Italians love that name, is my point. Italians would name a cum spaltter on a hookers forehead Anthony, it is in our DNA.

Italians from Italy use the name "Antonio", I think.
The reason for Italian-Americans loving the name "Anthony" is perhaps because it feels like a proper Italian-American name and there aren't many other names like that.
A name like "Giuseppe" sounds too much like an Italian from the homeland, and a name like "James" sounds too much like a regular American. "Tony" sounds like a mafia boss.
