Basically yes; remember [what books the "Nazis" actually burned](https://archive.is/9g6Mx):
> On 6 May 1933, the Institute of Sexology, an academic foundation devoted to sexological research and the advocacy of homosexual rights, was broken into and occupied by Nazi-supporting youth. Several days later the entire contents of the library were removed and burned.
> Jewish, gay and outspokenly liberal, (((Hirschfeld))) was an obvious target for the Nazis
If a fourth Reich rose in the US, I can only hope it wouldn't waste time or energy burning books. Instead making sure the information was preserved for study so future generations are better prepared to effectively identify and combat it whenever they encounter it, instead of waiting for some guardian knight to come along and save them from evil.
