This one is not one of those lolbergtarian kikes who go around saying "nothin's free, chump!", but this one does have to wonder how paying for a "free" thing does not defeat th' purpose of it being "free".

You cannot "eradicate homelessness." There are a plethora of people who are riddled with mental disorders. Some of them are mentally so broken that they simply cannot get their shit together. Even if you put it together for them, it's only a matter of days or weeks until it all falls apart again.
You can combat the causes though, but we are talking about (((combating the causes))) here, which isn't exactly something monetarily quantifiable.
