Black field hands had it way easier than the cheap white labor in the north.

Irishmen worked 12+ hours a day, 6 days a week, all year with a seldom unpaid holiday thrown into the mix. They lived in very small dwellings and could barely afford to feed their families. They were essentially enslaved, because work was hard to come by since immigrants were flooding every major yankee city. These men worked in very horrible conditions, were whipped on occasion and had very little to live for.

The blacks on the other hand worked outside in the sun. Maybe they worked sun up to sun down... during farming season. Wtf do you do with 50 negro slaves the other 5 months of the year when nothing is growing, make them run laps around the farm? People image these wretched poor downtrodden negros picking cotton every day, all day, all year.. No, that happened like one month out of the year. 6 other months were assisting the house niggers who worked the horse drawn plow then weeding the field. Then there wasn't shit for them to do for the next 5 months. Unlike the whites in the north, they were still fed and sheltered.

These motherfuckers lived in paradise compared to our ancestors who were enslaved by the capitalists and their vile industry.

Slaves in the past: Slavery isn't so bad.

Modern "liberals": Slavery is the worst thing ever!

Honestly, I think some humans would just do better having someone else worry about their food and clothing in exchange for all their labor.

I watched as Google was basically providing every necessity to their employees and the employees grew ever more dependent on google as if that was a good thing. As for me, I was trying to build up wealth so that I can own my own property and be free from the employee-employer relationship, which I think was sinful as practiced in modern times. Those people who want to just play video games probably should be slaves.

the nigger whipping trope always sets me off. If a tractor breaks down the farmer dosnt beat the fuck out of it to get it to work again.. sure, probably happened a few times for a really bull headed mandingo. i could guess it was far less than Roots makes it out to be.

About half of slaveowning households were jewish. How do they treat people in their care?

Same thing with the animals, if injured, take them out of service, give them medical treatment. Every farm had so many niggers anyway that even during harvest season it wouldn't be too much of an issue to have another nigger care for the niggers that broke down in the fields.

And if someone is really badly injured, a simple shot ends the misery instantly. It's the most humane thing to do. A northern worker would never get medical attention like that, all the other employees are on the pay roll. You wanna end your misery, shoot yourself basically. Healthcare was non existing, and if there was anything it would cost too much for a factory worker to afford.

I bet it was pretty common on the jew run plantations, but I highly doubt small farms were whipping their slaves even if they did get lazy

Bro your lack of experience is showing.

If there ain't snow on the ground, the south is growing. 10 farming months essentially, of course you have to choose the right crops for the season.

You don't run out of work on a farm. If you can't grow, break dirt. If the earth's frozen, build something.

Pretty sure cotton season down south is like May - October.

True. And generally speaking, slaves were expected to raise their own food. While watermelon doesn't grow well in winter even in the deep south, some greens and root crops can be grown nearly year-round there.
