Same thing in the big welfare states, those generations had too much shame to accept any help, even when it was available and a direct result of their own hard work. Today's generations and especially non-Whites have no shame. They take everything they can.

The Irish were treated like crap (often worse than blacks because they didnt have the priveledge of being valuable property) and their enslavement is only a footnote in the (((History))) books.
My father is a boomer, and when he was growing up on the farm, there was no electricity and no running water. There was a washhouse and an outhouse. Grandma used a wood stove to cook food and heat water for cleaning/bathing. This was in the 1960's and they might as well have been living in the 1860's (except for having tractors and cars instead of horses because my grandpa, who was the youngest of 8 children hated horses after he watched one kill his brother).
Character, moral soundness, and love for your family and people are more important than luxurious wealth.
One of my favorite quotes is Pope Pius the IV's somewhat incredulous compliment regarding John Calvin where he states:
> The strength of that heretic, consisted in this, that money never had the slightest charm for him. If I have had such servants my dominion would extend from sea to sea.
I don’t even care anymore. I don’t let them drag me in the muddy water and lose me in the weeds. I just respond you’re people were conquered. Deal with it. You should be happy, and thanking me for the fact that they didn’t geld, and/or kill your ancestors. Now shut the fuck up.
Edit:Check out the history of the Irish here in NOLA.
