There was a similar long form discussion an African historian had regarding colonization and the impact decolonization had on Ghana. The king of Ghana at the time begged the English (I believe it was a British colony but am too lazy to verify) to stay and help develop for at least another twenty years. He knew they were not ready.

I pointed this out to my BIL last night. No africans ever advanced or developed any sort of technology more advanced than Stone Age prior to exposure with non-black groups. I said they are genetically incapable of it. Every shit-skinned race of humans reverts to barbarism when whites (or chinks) aren’t around.
Its the Curse of Ham, everyone has known for the past couple millenia that they basically cannot stay civilized without the Japhethitic and Semitic races maintaining order among them either directly through force or indirectly by supporting righteous monarchs to rule them. It wasnt until the absolutely insane liberal blank slate theory became popular that people were dumb enough to believe that they could maintain a high level of technology and civilization left to their own devices.
The greatest architectural feat of subsaharan Africa was "Great Zimbabwe". It's a 'fortress' made out of loose stacked rocks, with no mortar, because they never invented it. And it was built when Europeans were crossing oceans on galleons.
The only two things impressive about it is that they seemed to have mastered some primitive degree of stonemasonry, and that it's mostly still standing today.
They don't pick up knowledge from us. They just let everything that Whites build go to waste.
The Chinese guy tells them the truth about it in Empire of Dust.
