Somebody here made a post about how the DRV is the best English version. Anything newer than like 900 AD is using the Masoretic text for the OT with appeared with the jews. The NT in the bibles from the 1000's-today includes various cut-pastes from Nestorian and other Orthodox heresies, along with various intentional mistranslations and rewording (charity changed to 'love,' etc). The DRV is the Jerome's Latin Vulgate which is the oldest complete bible and is the one our Frankish, English, Scottish, Celt, Gothic and German ancestors were reading.

I'm not Catholic but I have to concede that they have the only real bible.
