Scofield is the KJV text, at least at first glance, which is part of how this wolf was able to sneak into the sheepfold. Scofield made various "corrections" to the main translation text (rather than as notes) as well as countless study notes that make the scriptures align with doctrine (rather than the other way around).

This is a big part of the foundation of the intertwined heresies of dispensationalism, the "rapture", and jews being acceptable (changing from Christ-killers to stubborn future "Christians").

Modern jew-embracing theology carves out a special chosenness and salvation plan for the jews (because "the jews" == Israel, right?), making end-times events ultimately about the jews, not Christians.

Dispensationalism, "the rapture", etc. This isn't the admitted intent of these doctrines, but it's a 100% accurate tl;dr.

This also means any other interpretation must be automatically wrong and evil without any consideration required, because that would mean theologically holocausting the jews out of their special place in God's timeline.
