I haven't watched it in many years, but it used to be funny. There's a whole gag on the AIDS patient zero that is hilarious.

I have also not watched family guy, or any tv for that matter, in long time either.
TV is consoomy, especially now since internet denizens make dumb memes/references about thier tv shows that no one else can understand. Fans of breaking bad and game of thrones are very insufferable because of that. From what I hear, Family guy is now mostly just dumb cut away gags instead of a show.
Family Guy will always stay in my heart because of that episode where they mock mercilessly the first troon in the show. It was hilarious.
Watching it you realize how much times have changed in such a short time. An episode like this airing today would cause a lynching of the authors. I think the troon is considered normal in the show now.
Family Guy transcends mere tv by being a meme icon. Merely saying "family guy funny moments" was considered a riot of a joke and punchline all rolled into one among zoomers in the circa 2017 era, most of whom had never watched it.
