Yeah this is a classic case of both sides being wrong. Kid is wrong because they don't understand how to live without consuming premium products every day. Boomer is wrong because he doesn't understand just how hard the kid has it compared to him, and doesn't understand or care that his actions made it that way.

Used cars aren't the value proposition they used to be.
Growing up I would hear stuff like "a new car loses xx% as soon as you drive it off the lot". While that's still *technically* true, I think people have realized that many cars built after the mid-90's are reliable up to and even beyond 250k miles.

Also, has anyone ever noticed that people that talk about "economics" (doesn't matter if they're capitalists or communists) can only express things in very vague, conceptual terms? They're like parrots that only know how to say words and phrases like "supply and demand" or "means and needs" and they have no idea why those things were ever said.

People in general are retarded, especially people who want what they believe to be right rather than wanting to believe the right things (if that makes sense).

Yes, a huge mistake our society has made is believing that the ability to regurgitate information equates to intelligence when, as you have stated, the only difference between the average product of the american edjewcation system and a parrot is that one has feathers and the other doesnt.

> Buy a used car!

Just bought a brand new 2024 4Runner. Cost us $62,000 all in with taxes. There was a 2023 on the lot, exact same model, trim, and colour with 30,000 miles. That would have been $72,000 all in with taxes.

Plus I used to work in a shop and know guys that still do. Buying a used car means you’re most likely buying something a nigger or poo drove at some point, didn’t maintain, and beat the piss out of it. Now you’re going to pay new prices for it though. There was a 2021 Tacoma with 400,000 miles for $25,000 lmao fuck this jew world.

nahh dude sell it back it's not worth it if you don't work somewhere where good vehicle is needed or live in a total shithole. I think you could buy some 10 year Land Rover for 10 000$. For me having a car is to just having some space and transport few people, eitherway it's straight up consoomerism no better than redditor collecting funko pops. You could even buy a trailer for that much money.

It’s nothing like a redditor or funko pops wth?? I picked a vehicle that will last 20 years with an engine and transmission that’s been unchanged from the early 2000’s and 7 seats for kids plus a truck frame and 4x4 since we live in the country and have lots of gravel with big potholes. It’s not consoomerism at all. I bought something good for a lifetime of use. My wife’s 2 door ford focus I’m still driving as a commuter and it’s 18 years old. With how well I maintain vehicles I’ll be an old man and that suv will still be kicking

Easily affordable used cars went away when president jiggaboo had tons of them destroyed in cash for clunkers.

Used cars are so expensive nowadays. I bought my used car before COVID for $3k and sold 30k miles later for $5k

Daily '84 wagoneer.

Have spare t-case, transmission and 2 engine blocks.

Have a refurbed engine waiting to go in the moment the current engine blows.

If it wasn't for the fact I pay 9999999 dollars per inch I drive, it would be perfect.
