Huh? King was our PM during WWII, he conscripted Canadians to fight in the war against Germany before the US entered, even.
we didn't have the independence. we were defacto part of it as soon as britian joined the war
Yeah we confederated 75 or so years before the war.
We joined the war as Britain's ally willingly. Though - Quebec did *not* like it one bit. The former french colony still hates mainland France even after 300 years of Quebec's founding. King's biggest battle was against French-Canadians who were against going to war in Europe.
