The most sinister thing about it is how it has impacted religion. Before the Holocaust Narrative, the Roman Catholic Church was naming them regularly and the Jesuits were trying to warn everyone about Judeo-Communism (yes, they were actually counter-semitic back then, the protocols kvetch about them being the greatest threat to jewish dominion). The ideas of religious indifferentism regarding the jews and the whole concept of judeo-christianity would be rightly laughed out of the room. You had Priests like Father Coughlin on live radio jewpilling everyone about the true origins of communism. Of course, that all changed with the second world war, where the best and brightest fighting Christian men were killed off in the battles, and the Church was left vulnerable due to the fog of war. Of course, the jews showed their hand at Vatican II, and have basically tarred any cleric who dares teach the actual Catholic Faith, especially regarding the jews, as an anti-semite, which is of course what boomers and the goyest gen fear being called more than than anything, thanks to decades of TV psyopping. The Church served as the world's immune system against the jew, but due to the stupidly and cowardly so-called "Greatest" Generation they have effectively circumvented it. Of course, the Church can never be truly destroyed, it survived one set of Jews, and it wont be taken out by a bunch of Satanic posers either, but it will take some time to fix it.
Actually yes, when the soviets tried to blame it on the Germans. Which failed, so they just dropped it. Of course they wouldn't charge the Soviets with anything at Nuremberg, because a war crime trial isn't a real trial; it's a false mask of modern civilization placed over the ancient principle of vae victus. Which is why the winners were allowed to torture any POWs they wanted to put on trial.

Anyway, the confusion here is that when someone says "at Nuremberg" what is generally understood is the International Military Tribunal (IMT) which had [24 defendants](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_defendants_at_the_International_Military_Tribunal). None of them had their sentence reduced.
What the article talks about is a bunch of other trials that involved nobody important and that nobody cared about.
