I wonder if blacks, while living in their natural habitat, have evolved an ability to filter out chirping sounds of insects such as crickets to better hear sounds from dangerous animals or to have a better night's sleep. Maybe that's why they don't hear the chirp?

They only live in the present. They’re like animals.

They hear the beep, then 10 seconds pass and they've mentally moved on.

I had a chirp in my house I spent 2 hours looking for, It seemed to be in the walls!

It was maddening, then I went into the basement to do laundry, and there it was! Being white, I had a spare 9 volt battery, and now my house is properly up to code, and quiet.

Man being responsible and forward thinking, that's some cracka ass sheeeeiit.

"up to code"

we would have built it cheaper, but that's illegal

I dont think so, most of mankind has been surrounded by insect sounds for most of history.

They like it because it sounds like sneakers on a gym floor during a basketball game

Sometimes late at night when I am on a walk, there are spots where I can hear a gentle crescendo, a little symphonic arrangement of beeps from various apartments at various distances with various brands of smoke detectors installed, a little song sung by modern society that tells not of any individual experience, but of our collective woes.

Their curly hair evolved to protect against mosquitos. You may be onto something here.

your brain tunes out repetitive sounds after a few weeks. I know heavy equipment operators who have tuned out the sounds of the dinging alarm of the equipment moving. Thats all it is.

But blacks are so stupid instead of replacing the battery they ignore it until they dont hear it anymore.

Interesting. Maybe the chirp is comforting, as everything goes silent when predators are around.

My phone notification is the chirp. Since I'm only around Whites, I immediately get an "I hate that noise. Change it" comment from whoever hears it. I imagine if I was a basketball person, it wouldn't even "notify" me.
