A lot of women also opposed sufferage because they thought being given men's rights would also mean being given men's responsibilities, which were often difficult and dangerous.

We could have said "no" to a lot of things. Bringing blacks over from African to pick cotton, anything immigration post 1920's, fighting the Germans, carving out the state of Israel, joining any global-homo organization, etc
