>How do we bridge the divide between people being mentally ill-equipped to BE voters and embracing democracy?

You don't.

Like John Adam said, the Constitution is only fit for a moral and religious people. Trumptards and Kamalatards don't have morals or religion (Trumptards pretend to, but their actions speak louder than words).

For America to return to what it was, it needs a dictatorship to enforce morality and religion upon these degenerates.

The last 10 years has really swayed me away from a congressional democracy and reflect on how every great empire and nation of peoples operated throughout history -- and the most common thread is having a dictator (king, emperor, etc) who had a council (senate, lords, commons) who acted as representatives of the people TO the dictator, which gave the people a sense of democracy.

But ayh am troubled by how a dictator is 'chosen' as if we went by modern standards, they would be a person of great wealth and business acumen as opposed to a great leader of people.

There has to be a moment (again) where this land is reconquered by men of violence -- and prove they lead by strength and matched intelligence and not by grifting.

That's the conclusion I arrived at.

In a perfect world, I'd still advocate for absolute freedom but, after seeing how freedom was subverted to do away with freedom, I realized that freedom is not for everyone. Basically, great power, great responsibility, and it must be safeguarded. And if no one is brave enough to safeguard it, then we'll all just end up as slaves to those who are brave enough to grab power for themselves.

Agreed, and also the current generation of people don't possess the qualities and characteristics to be great leaders.

I hope you're right, but I'm not too optimistic.

Do not be optimistic, that is emotive --> be prepared, that is tangible

History teaches us, every thing has a limit.

Democracy leads to subversion. Always. You can’t fix that.

That sounds nice and all but it hardly fits in to a practical metric. It would not solve every thing -- never has. Either there is a fairness or not.

On paper this dullard who does not get she has been scammed and believes in idiotic things while being trash -- owns some thing, is retired and worked for years, is a parent -- she then qualifies as being a viable voter -- but would you trust this person to vote?

If we reduce genuine democracy to elites, then the obvious occur and your are soulless.

If we reduce genuine democracy to any metric, there is a gap some where that voids the efficacy of democracy entirely.

It is hard to not see dictatorships as the only viable solution to countries. There just need be standards to this that protect the arrangement. Power corrupts absolutely.. so there needs to be some hindrance to authority from empowering citizens against citizens.

There are no democracies in nature.. it is a human invention.. and it is ruinous.
